Campo
JEB Stuart Road
The Southern Termilus of the PCT is .5 mile from here. This is a very small town with very small resources. A rural transit bus comes by once per day.
Mt. Laguna
Small community with a motel, restaurant, and a small general store.
Warner Springs

Very small resort community. There is a tiny store at the gas station, but the food consists of potato chips and soda pop. The resort and hot springs are private. Most PCT hikers detour along Hwy 79 from the Fire Station, pass through Warner Springs, then continue down Hwy 79 to meet back up the with the trail.
Idyllwild
Nice mountain community with just about anything you could need. Movie theater, Large store, outdoor store, library, etc. The Post Office is located in a shopping near a large supermarket. Camping is available at a state park near town.
Big Bear City
The Fire Station in Big Bear City offers showers and a place to camp for PCT hikers. A store, PO, motel, and bar are all nearby. The town of Big Bear Lake (accessible by bus) offers movie theaters, tourist oriented activities, and shopping centers.
Wrightwood

Saturday pick up 8am-11am. Medium sized town with motels, stores, restaurants, etc.
Agua Dulce

Very small town with small grocery store and pizza parlor. Packages can be picked up at Century 21 office. Please show respect for Century 21 by opening resupply parcels AWAY from their property. This is a badly needed resupply and no post office is available here (as of 1997).
Tehachapi

Kennedy Meadows
Kennedy Meadows General Store (via Postal Mail)
Small general store that offers to hold resupply parcels. In 1996 it was $2.50 to hold resupply parcels. This is not a post office, the owner is kind enough to pick up the packages in town and bring them out to the general store. Dealing with incoming packages is enough work already, so please avoid asking to mail out any packages. (Or at lease offer enough $$ to cover postage & trouble if you need a package mailed). UPS is preferred.
Vermillion Valley Resort

See Vermillion Valley Resort for more information. This is a great place for a layover on a PCT hike. VVR is located 6 hiking miles from the PCT. Another option is to hike about a mile to Lake Edison, and take the ferry to VVR. The ferry sails at 9:45am and 4:45pm, and costs $15.00 round trip. Cost is $6 to hold a package.
Tuolumne Meadows
Tuolumne Meadows Station
Usually does not upen until the middle of June, depending upon snowfall. In addition to the Post Office, there is a decent sized general store and an adequte burger joint.
Echo Lake Resort
Medium sized general store and deli. Please open up resupply parcels off the resorts property. The resort has had many problems with PCT hikers opening up their resupply parcels in front of the store.
